NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

Homicide detectives are investigating a deadly double shooting that left the grandson of a reality TV show star dead.

Andre Montgomery, 21, of the 4100 block of Nara, was shot multiple times and a 22-year-old man was shot in the chest and arm while in the 3900 block of Natural Bridge around 8 p.m. Montgomery is grandson of Miss Robbie, the star of Welcome to Sweetie Pie's.

Montgomery was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. TMZ reports there is a "strong lead" in the case.

Montgomery's high school graduation was featured on the show.

An investigation revealed an unknown suspect shot Montgomery while inside the residence. After hearing the gunshots, the 22-year-old, who was armed with a firearm, ran upstairs to assist Montgomery and was shot in the arm by a 26-year-old man who feared for his safety, police said.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect who shot Montgomery.
