ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A man wounded in a shooting south of downtown St. Louis Saturday had his pants stolen by the alleged gunman.

Police say the victim, an 18-year-old man, was walking on Lafayette, approaching Tucker, in St. Louis' Peabody-Darst-Webbe neighborhood, when an unknown man approached him from behind and pulled down his pants. The shooting happened before noon on Saturday.

The suspect then fired a shot at the teen, striking him in the abdomen. He then removed the victim's pants and stole a duffle bag and iPhone before leaving the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he is stable.
