(KMOV.com) – The Reynolds County Sheriff’s Office says they have the suspects responsible for the November death of 67-year-old Sharon Nelson.

Nelson’s body was found near the Black River near Lesterville on Wednesday, January 13 with a gunshot wound to the head. She was reported missing back in November 2014. According to police, Brad Kopf of New Haven and Carrie Chitwood of Lesterville have been arrested for their alleged connection to the crime.

Kopf was interviewed and confessed to the murder, while Chitwood was charged with abandonment of a corpse as she was present during the shooting, police say.

Kopf has been charged with first degree murder and armed criminal action. His bond is set at one million dollars. Chitwood’s bond is set at $25,000.
