Indiana man accused of defrauding elderly Caseyville resident

CASEYVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -

The St. Clair County State's Attorney's Office charged James Micheal Richardson, 18, of Huntington, Ind. in connection with a fraud investigation initiated in December 2015.

Richardson is charged with aggravated home repair fraud stemming from a December 28, 2015 investigation. Police say Richardson entered a contract with an 87-year-old resident of Caseyville to complete home repairs. The victim paid more than $7,000 to the subject and the projects were never completed.

Richardson is currently at large. Anyone with knowledge of Richardson's whereabouts is requested to call the Caseyville Police Department at 618-277-3500.
