JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Attorney General Chris Koster’s office announced Thursday that they will assist Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Nathan Carroz in the case against a man suspected of murdering five people across two states.

Pablo Serrano-Vitorino is accused of fatally shooting four men in Kansas City, Kansas, then driving about 170 miles to New Florence, Missouri where he allegedly fatally shot Randy J. Nordman, 49.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy for the family and friends of Randy Nordman and the four men murdered in Kansas City, Kansas,” Koster said.  “My office will work tirelessly to bring justice for Mr. Nordman.”

In Missouri, Serrano-Vitorino is charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and burglary.

The Montgomery County prosecution will occur before the proceedings in Kansas, according to Koster.
