Hazelwood police seek help identifying man struck, killed on I-270 Wednesday

HAZELWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police in Hazelwood are asking for help identifying a man struck and killed on eastbound Interstate 270 Wednesday afternoon.

The victim was crossing the interstate at Hanley Road around 3:15 p.m. when he ran into the side of a tractor trailer, and was knocked to the ground, police said.

He was taken to a hospital, but later died.

Police described the man as being between 20 and 30 years old, about 5-foot-10 with a medium build and medium brown complexion. The man was wearing an orange colored ‘Little Caesar’s’ t-shirt at the time of the incident.

The man has a tattoo of the Arch with the bird on the bat Cardinals’ logo and ‘St. Louis’ written in script on his upper left arm. On his chest, he has a tattoo of a lion with the word ‘ambition’ in cursive script underneath.
