BRIDGETON (KMOV.com) -

A man is facing charged for allegedly stealing thousands from a business in Bridgeton.

Joshua Middleton is charged with second-degree robbery.  He allegedly robbed the ACE Cash Express on St. Charles Rock Road as it opened one day. The victim told police Middleton grabbed by him by the arm and stole a satchel that contained $4,000 in cash, an iPad and his wallet.

Middleton allegedly pushed the man to the ground before fleeing.

Middleton confessed to officers that he used the stolen cash to pay for a rental car, heroin, and hotel rooms, police said.
