ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – College students could potentially play a big role in selecting the presidential nominees when the primaries are held in Missouri and Illinois in two weeks.

The March 15 primaries will be the first time many St. Louis University students will have an opportunity to vote in a presidential election year.

The university held a Super Tuesday watch party where News 4 spoke with Alexus Williams, a law student, who said the issue that will guide her decision is financial aid for students.

“When you know that certain things are riding on it and you know that you receive financial aid and that you are only in school because of certain opportunities you have to pay attention to those things because who gets in office could change that,” said Williams.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump remain the frontrunners for the two major political parties following Super Tuesday.
