ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- The body of a missing St. Charles County woman was found in a creek in Marthasville, Missouri, in Warren County Monday afternoon.

Amanda Sue Ford went missing Saturday night from her Augusta, Missouri house, which is about 8 miles from where the body was found. Her car was also found, overturned, in the creek.  Authorities said she was driving on Highway 94 when her car veered off the road and into a creek.

Ford's sister tells News 4 she was dropped off at her Augusta home around 11:00 p.m. Saturday after celebrating her birthday in Defiance, but never went inside. Ford did not show up for any of her birthday plans on Sunday and missed work Monday.

Friends and family later canvassed the area and a friend found her car in a creek, wedged in a culvert. Police say the section of road where the accident happened is very dark and windy.
