Man arrested on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing traffic stop

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Prosecutors issued multiple drug related crimes charges against Kyle West on Feb. 19.

According to the probable cause statement, a Franklin County officer attempted to pull over West for speeding on Feb. 18 on West Gravois Road. The suspect allegedly fled from the stop in his car.

The officer noticed that the driver threw a pair of gloves from the vehicle as he fled. The suspect stopped and inside the gloves,  weighing in excess of 90 grams, which later tested positive for methamphetamine.

West was charged with possessing a controlled substance with intent to distribute, tampering with physical evidence, resisting lawful stop, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, exceeding posted speed limit, failure to register a motor vehicle, fail to maintain financial responsibility, and fail to wear a safety belt.
