JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Police say a suspect stabbed a man several times at a BP gas station, 12405 Highway 21, after the man allegedly walked in front of him at the soda machine.

Bennie E. Hornbeck, 32, of Hillsboro, was charged with first degree assault for the altercation that happened on Tuesday.

The victim told police that Hornbeck allegedly took a knife and stabbed him over and over. He was stabbed five times. The victim told police that he didn't know Hornbeck, but the suspect was mad after the victim walked in front of him near the soda machine.

Hornbeck was arrested near the location and a knife was found on him. He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
