ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A former St. Louis IRS employee was sentenced to prison after she plead guilty to filing false tax returns, according to court documents.

Demetria Brown traveled to Birmingham, Alabama after she was indicted, and News 4 Investigative Reporter Chris Nagus tracked her down.

While she didn’t want to talk to Nagus when he tracked her down prior to sentencing, Brown was posting pictures of her trips to Cancun on Facebook.

According to the sentencing memorandum, Brown filed false returns for at least 120 people by unlawfully obtaining personal information.

After pleading guilty to aggravated identity theft and wire fraud, Brown was ordered to pay back $326,000 and was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison.
