ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A dispute between two women at a local park is believed to have led to shots being fired towards a St. Charles home late Monday night.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. officers were called to the 2000 block of North Fourth Street for a report of shots being fired into a residence from a vehicle.

While officers were speaking the victim, the suspect vehicle was seen traveling past the residence, police said. After seeing the suspect vehicle, officers began to pursue it.

During the pursuit, officers deployed stop sticks, which stopped the vehicle on South Fifth Street near Willow Oak.

Two men, ages 19 and 20, who were inside the vehicle were taken into custody. Two other suspects ran from the scene on foot.

Inside the vehicle police said they found a sawed-off shotgun and a revolver.

Authorities believe a fight at a local park earlier in the evening between two unidentified women could be a potential motive for the assault.

The St. Charles County Police Department said they are working to identify the two suspects who ran from the vehicle following the pursuit.

Warrant applications have been applied for the suspects taken into custody.

The home sustained minor exterior damage.

No injuries were reported.

Anyone with information regarding the incident should call the St. Charles Police Department at 636-949-3300.
