    PHELPS COUNTY, MO (KMOV.com) – The search for a 13-year-old Phelps County boy has reignited once again following the assistance of a national group called Justice in the Name Of.Johnathan Shay went missing July 9 while walking with his 11-year-old cousin into the woods from a grandmother’s house south of St. James in Phelps County.The volunteer group will be meeting at 8:00 a.m. on September 7. PHELPS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Authorities confirm remains found in February are those of Johnathan L. Shay, a 13-year-old boy who was reported missing July 9, 2015.

During a press conference  in February, authorities said they believe the remains found near Dry Fork Creek are the teenager’s. Officials the remains will underwent forensic tests, which confirmed the remains belong to Shay

Officials said they do not suspect any foul play.

Shay was last seen by his 11-year-old cousin near the Dry Fork Creek in St. James, Missouri.

Shay and his cousin walked into the woods from a grandmother’s house south of St. James. The cousin was found the next day by a searcher.
