Police are searching for thieves who stole from two restaurants that were affected by flooding in Fenton.

Authorities believe thieves hit Plan B Barbeque, which is located in the Olde Town Business District. The owner said the thieves stuck before repairs could made after the flood waters subsided.

“They cut all the copper water line out, cut the electronics even the small 110. They destroyed everything,” said Plan B Barbeque owner Scott Huber.

The future of Plan B Barbeque is now up in the air.

Police believe the culprits stole from Joe Clark’s Restaurant two days earlier, taking $1400 worth of kitchen items that were set out back for cleaning.

“It’s the lowest possible human you could be. It’s like kicking somebody when they’re down,” said Mike Stepp, a friend of a victim.

Other nearby businesses told News 4 they are concerned about the overall impact the thefts will have on the two restaurants.

If you have any information on the thefts please call St. Louis County Police.
