NORTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -

The man killed in Wednesday’s crash on westbound Interstate 70 was weaving in and out of traffic prior to hitting the tractor trailer, police said.

Thomas Crittenden, 46, of St. Charles, was killed and an 18-year-old was seriously injured when their 2008 Kia Rio struck the rear of a tractor trailer at Riverview.

The 18-year-old passenger had to be extracted from the vehicle following the crash.  He was taken to a hospital and is listed in serious, but stable condition.

The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
