Nurse accused of stealing patient's identity to open Fingerhut, Sprint accounts

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A home health-care nurse is charged with identity theft after she allegedly used a patient’s social security number to open credit accounts.  

Monique Hammond, 34, is accused of copying the victim’s social security number from a piece of mail and using it to open accounts with Sprint and Fingerhut.

Hammond allegedly purchased $730.88 worth of merchandise from Fingerhut, and had a balance of $1,316.07 at Sprint.
