ARNOLD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Metropolitan Sewer District will host a town hall meeting Friday night in Arnold to talk about what officials are doing to keep the public information following six weeks of historic flooding.

The meeting will address the concerns that many residents have about their local water supply after the Fenton waste water plant was completely submerged, sending four million gallons of raw sewage into the Meramec River daily.

Officials with the sewer district said they are concerned about the health hazards, which is why they are hosting the meeting.

At the meeting, the officials will also discuss the current situation of the plant along with the steps it takes to get it back up and running.

The meeting will take place at the Arnold Recreation Center at 6 p.m.
