POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 46-year-old man from Poplar Bluff was taken into custody in connection to an armed robbery.
Monday night, Timothy J. Johnson was taken into custody accused of robbing JD’s Quick Stop, located at 1529 North Main Street.
Johnson was allegedly armed with a knife and wearing a ski-mask and gloves when he told an employee to “give me all your money.” The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and gave him money from the register.
According to police, Johnson was found holding multiple bills of currency hiding in a wooded area.
After being taken into custody, Johnson admitted to the crime, police said.
Johnson was booked at the Butler County Justice Center.
