FRANKLIN COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A suspect ran from police after crashing a stolen vehicle in Franklin County Wednesday, authorities said.
Just before 12:30 a.m., a Franklin County Deputy saw a blue Jeep Cherokee that was reported stolen driving on Highway AT near the intersection of Highway 100. The Jeep was reported stolen from Union on Monday.
The deputy attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, but the driver continued to the 8000 block of Highway O, where the vehicle crashed into a chunk of concrete and a grain bin.
After the vehicle crashed, the driver and passenger ran from the scene.
The driver was last seen running across Highway O and into the woods.
The 21-year-old passenger was taken into custody for the investigation of motor vehicle theft. As of Wednesday morning, charges have not been filed against her.
