Student allegedly carjacked on SLU campus

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A female grad student was allegedly carjacked on St. Louis University's campus just before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the university, the woman was heading to the Simon Recreation Center and parked her car. When she got out, a male subject allegedly physically took her keys and then her vehicle. The victim was not harmed. The altercation occurred on the 3000 block of Laclede.

According to St. Louis police, the suspect reportedly stole a different car and crashed it just minutes before encountering the second victim.

School officials say no weapon was displayed. The suspect drove off in the stolen car.

The investigation is ongoing.
