Man fatally struck on I-44 was taking photos of friends seated on median

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man killed on Interstate 44 in St. Louis was identified as a 24-year-old South City man.

Police said Will Miner, 24, of the 5500 of Shaw, was struck by a vehicle around 4:00 a.m. Tuesday near the Macklind overpass.

Police reports indicate Miner had walked onto the highway to take a photo of his two friends who were seated on the center median. Miner was standing in the fast lane when a Toyota 4Runner struck him.

The driver of the 4Runner stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
