ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

Gateway Acura dealers running a campaign at the St. Louis Auto Show downtown, calling for artists to help veterans.

The campaign is called “Great Cars, Great Cause,” and is designed to be a live art show. Artists are hand painting a patriotic mural on the body of a car, and Gateway Acura is doing it all to raise money for the Fisher House Foundation. The foundation provides military families housing close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.

"They have about 20 rooms and it's for the veterans when they have to come to St. Louis for medical care and they need a place to stay so it's no cost to them," explained Tony Galibert, a St. Louis Acura sales manager.

Gateway area Acura dealers will donate a portion from every new Acura sold to the local non-profit.
