Police ID woman, 21, killed in single-vehicle crash early Monday morning

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A woman was killed after her car became trapped underneath a parked semi-truck in north St. Louis Monday morning.

Alliah Morganfield, 21, was traveling in the 3900 block of North Broadway when she lost control of her Chevrolet Impala, which then struck a metal fence post, overturned and landed underneath a parked semi-truck around 1:30 a.m.

Morganfield was taken to an area hospital by witnesses. She was pronounced dead at the hospital, according to officials.

Emergency crews shut down North Broadway at Bremen Avenue and two blocks north following the crash. The roadway reopened Monday morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
