ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

St. Louis is known for its Mardi Gras celebrations and is continuing a new event from last year.

The St. Louis Blues will face the Winnipeg Jets on Feb. 9 and will be hosing Fat Blues Day for the second straight year. The Mardi Gras Foundation is teaming up with the hockey team to bring you Mardi Gras themed games, prizes and entertainment inside the warmth of the Scott Trade Center. It will replace the Fat Tuesday Parade.

"Every year we assess all of our events... for the last several years, the weather on Tuesday nights has not really cooperated," Mack Bradely, president of the Mardi Gras Foundation, said.

The Grand Mardi Gras Parade will still be held on Saturday, February 6 in Soulard.
