ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A St. Charles man plead guilty to statutory sodomy and statutory rape.

John Jagels, 33, plead guilty to two counts of second-degree statutory sodomy, one count promoting child pornography, one count of second-degree statutory rape and one count possession of child pornography.

Jagels was sentenced to seven years for each count of second-degree statutory sodomy, promoting child pornography and second-degree statutory rape and fifteen years for the possession of child pornography.

The seven and fifteen years will run concurrent, according to authorities.

Charges arose in May of 2015 when Jagels victimized a child under the age of 17 along with his wife, Nichole, in their St. Charles home. Both confessed to committing multiple sexual acts, both alone and together, with the victim inside their home, located on Salem Drive, in 2015, according to the probable cause statement.

The statement also states the couple confessed to smoking marijuana with the victim. The 37-year-old Jagels told officials one time she witnessed her husband and the victim taking ‘acid’ before they sexually molested the victim. The victim told police the couple video recorded some of the sexual acts on their cell phones.
