O’FALLON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A father is accused of punching his son in the face and then shooting his brother-in-law in O’Fallon, Missouri Tuesday night.

Larry Dean Rouse, 60, punched his 20-year-old son in the face before retrieving a 12-gauge shotgun from his bedroom and firing it inside a home in the 100 block of Royallprairie Lane, according to officials.

Rouse allegedly fired the shotgun towards his wife, 20-year-old son, sister-in-law, brother-in-law and teenage son.

Rouse’s brother-in-law was shot in the right side of his upper torso.

Rouse has been charged with unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and second-degree domestic assault.

Authorities originally said two men were shot during the altercation at the residence.
