One-stop aid centers for flood victims opening for multiple St. Louis counties

( – The American Red Cross and Catholic Charities with Lutheran Children and Family Services opened the first of several Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) for flood victims in Missouri and Illinois on Saturday.

A MARC provides an area with resources for those in need. Twenty faith-based, government and humanitarian organizations are offering services and support.

Here is a list of areas and times MARCs are planned:

  • Jefferson County: Valley Middle School, located at 4300 Gravois in House Springs from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10.
  • Franklin County: Eagles Hall, located at 707 West Congress in Pacific from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 11 and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12.
  • St. Louis City and County: Manchester United Methodist Church, located at 129 Woods Mill Road in Manchester from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on January 14 and from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 15.

“These MARCs are an excellent example of the various agencies coming together for the common good,” said Cindy Erickson, Regional CEO, Red Cross of Eastern Missouri. “This is truly a way to make things easier for those who already have suffered so much as they rebuild their lives.”
