Illinois woman sentenced for conspiracy against the United States

ST. LOUIS – A Rockford, Illinois woman was sentenced to 36 months in federal prison Tuesday. Jasminka Ramic, 43, pled guilty in September to conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States.

According to the plea,that conspiracy included providing material support to terrorists and designated foreign terrorist organizations. Ramic appeared in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri before Judge Catherine Perry and was sentenced to three years.

This case was investigated by the St. Louis FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), U. S. Postal Inspection Service, St. Louis Metropolitan and St. Louis County Police Departments, with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies.
