For the first few days upon returning from winter break students at Woodward Elementary school will attend classes at L’Ouverture School after water damaged the St. Louis Public School building.
School officials said flood waters caused damage to boilers at Woodward and they need to be replaced which will take a few days. Administrators hope Woodward students will be able to return to their classrooms by the middle of the week.

According to the district, Woodward students who usually rise the bus should still catch their bus at the same time, but will be transported to L’Ouverture, at 3021 Hickory, instead. Any students who usually walk or are dropped off by parents will be able to meet at Woodward and be given transportation to L’Ouverture and back to Woodward after school.
Anyone with questions can either contact the Woodward office at 314-353-1346 or L’Ouverture at 314-932-1464.
