AT&T service restored in Fenton area

Posted: Updated:

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Mo. ( – Flooding that interrupt AT&T telephone services in the Fenton area Thursday has been resolved.

The company’s interruptions began at 11 a.m. Thursday and impacted the areas served by AT&T’s Fenton office. The interruptions affected dial tone, cellular, and 911 services. Around 10 a.m. Friday, Jefferson County dispatch said their 911 service was no longer impacted by the interruptions.

AT&T released the following statement at noon Friday:

Service at our central office is now restored following the heavy floods in the Fenton area. In addition, emergency 911 services are working normally at this time. Technicians worked to remove water from the affected building and resolved the issue as soon as the equipment was dry and deemed safe. We continue to monitor individual reports in the area. We apologize for the inconvenience.
