Frontenac police warning residents to be alert for suspicious persons

Posted: Updated:

FRONTENAC, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in Frontenac are asking residents to keep an eye out for suspicious persons after a person attempted to break windows and door glass of homes in an attempt to gain entry.

The department said they have received several incidents of unknown persons trying to break glass in the rear yards of homes. All of the reported incidents occurred after sunset when the yards are dark, police said.

“We were told the other day by the police that the person was awakened and saw that person was in his bedroom so that was upsetting to all of us. We are on the alert,” says resident Sally Levis.

The police department offers home security surveys where they will have an officer go over a home’s physical security with residents.

Town and Country Police told News 4 the similar incidents are a problem in their city.

Anyone who observes something suspicious should contact the department at 314-737-4600, or 911 if it is urgent.
