ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( -

The St. Louis-based company LockerDome is expanding their business and creating hundreds jobs in the process.

Co-Founder and CEO Gabe Lozano will meet with Missouri Governor Jay Nixon to make the official announcement at the company's St. Louis headquarters. The company plans to have 300 jobs added by 2020.

LockerDome is a social media company whose website allows users to share and create content based on their interests like humor, sports, and entertainment.

The company first moved downtown in 2012, thanks to a $200,000 investment from the state through the Missouri Technology Corporation (MTC). The MTC is a public-private partnership designed to promote entrepreneurship and help new and emerging companies. Since then, LockerDome said it has doubled the state's capital investment.

LockerDome will move into a new space across Washington Avenue, where their current space is located. The terms of the new lease are not specified, however the size of the new space is roughly 18,000 square-feet.
