EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) - -

Roderick Taylor was beaten to death and thrown in the trunk of the car last Friday in East St. Louis.

Police say two of his co-workers are suspects. News 4 spoke with the victim's family.

"He was in such good spirits. He's a Thanksgiving baby. We had such a good time . I just don't understand why," says Mya Everett, one of Taylor's sister.

His other sister is Stephanie Taylor. Both women want to know why Roderick was killed.

"They took somebody's father, brother, my mom lost her son, not to mention what they could have done to their own families and their own children. It wasn't worth it. It wasn't worth it," says Stephanie.

Police say the two people charged in their brother's death worked with him. News 4 asked both sisters if they knew Ashley Bonner and George Tillman.

"My brother had the same friends all of his life. These people, we never seen or heard of before. So who are you? Where did you come from?" asks Taylor.

Taylor says she last spoke with her brother a week ago about Christmas. She didn't know three days later, her brother would be gone.

"Everybody knows that he loved to have a good time. He is going to be missed, so missed," says Everett.

The sisters tell us finances are tight because of the shocking timing of Taylor's death. They have set up a Go Fund Me Account. For more information, click here: https://www.gofundme.com/rodericktaylor
