NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) -

A north St. Louis man is facing charges for allegedly stealing from a sporting goods store, running over a nun in the process, and for his role in a north St. Louis County home invasion.

Jordan Holmes, 19, is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, and first degree burglary. Holmes and 19-year-old Trammel Day allegedly broke into a home in the 6100 block of Rocket Drive Monday. The homeowner shot and killed Day, police said.

Holmes is also charged with four counts of stealing items worth more than $500. Holmes, a woman, and other suspects are accused of stealing North Face Jackets from Dicks Sporting Goods at South County Center. As Holmes was running out the store, surveillance cameras captured him allegedly running over an 87-year-old nun.
