Police catch one alleged St. Peters Toys 'R Us thief; two still at large

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- St. Peters police say they have captured one woman who was caught on camera stealing from a Toys 'R Us store, but are still searching for her two accomplices. 

Surveillance cameras were rolling when three women allegedly stole merchandise from a Toys ‘R Us store in St. Peters Saturday.

Around 3:00 p.m., three woman pushed three carts full out of items out of the store on Suemandy without paying, police said. The women then allegedly began to load up a silver Nissan with Illinois license plate number Y92-5157.

A customer who saw the women steal the items pushed a cart full of stolen items back to the store, but some of the women grabbed merchandise off the cart as he was pushing it. The women stole between $1,500 and $2,000 worth of toys, police said.
