LEBANON, Ill (KMOV.com) – Crews extinguished a fire that broke out at a nursing home in Lebanon, Ill. on Nov. 27.

The fire occurred at the Lebanon Care Center on North Alton. and investigators say the fire started in a closet.

Due to the number of elderly residents, crews at the scene put out a call for extra help. “We call in for mutual aid because we had to get more people out and we found the fire and mutual aid just helped us clean stuff up,” said Lt. Nick Schmitt of the Lebanon Fire Department.

Crews say no one was hurt in the fire and will continue investigating the cause.
