ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 25-year-old St. Louis woman is facing charges for allegedly fatally shooting a man in the head in October.

Jadda Mesia Kennedy is accused of fatally shooting 35-year-old Corey Stovall after meeting with him in the 3600 block of Cook to give him money she owed to him on October 30.

According to the probable cause statement, after entering Stovall’s vehicle, Kennedy informed him she didn’t have his money. A witness told police he exited the vehicle and heard gunshots a short time later. After hearing the gunshots, the witness said he saw Stovall’s vehicle driving across a lawn before stopping.

When the witness approached Stovall’s vehicle, police said, he saw Kennedy getting out and running across an alley.

Kennedy is charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
