Don Wolff, criminal defense attorney, activist, dies

(KMOV.com) – Don Wolff, a leading criminal defense attorney, community activist, and media personality, died at 80-years-old on Saturday.

Wolff was known to radio audiences across the nation and television viewers around the world. He died after losing his battle with leukemia.

During his career, he tackled difficult criminal cases and fought tirelessly for diversity and equal rights.

He also hosted a radio show on KMOX and KFUO for decades, winning many national and international awards including Emmys, Tellys, and Aurora Awards.

Wolff is survived by his wife Heidi, three children, and eight grandchildren.

A New Orleans style jazz memorial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at the United Hebrew Temple.
