Changes coming to tax bill forms in St. Charles County

Posted: Updated:

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) - St. Charles County residents may notice a slight change to their tax bills when forms are mailed out on Friday.

Officials said real estate and personal property bills will be combined into one statement and delivered in one envelope.

"Our goal for this new way of doing bills is to make it easier on the taxpayer by putting both pieces into one envelope that is easy to recognize among all the mail received during this time of year," said  Michelle McBride, Collector of Revenue.

Some residents could still receive separate tax bills if there are different names and addresses on various real estate titles and property assessment forms. To avoid receiving multiple bills, McBride said taxpayers should apply the same personal information to all forms when filing in 2016.

The new bill will also have a web address so those who want to pay their taxes online have an easy way to do so.
