Alleged robbery leads to police pursuit, crash in north St. Louis

(KMOV.com) – Police arrested two suspects and are searching for more after an alleged robbery led to a police pursuit in north St. Louis.

The pursuit began around 8:30 p.m. The details surrounding the alleged robbery before the pursuit are unclear. The pursuit ended with an accident around 8:45 p.m. in the 4800 block of Hammett Place. 

After the accident, numerous suspects were seen fleeing from the vehicle. Police arrested Trevion Poplar, 17, and Maxwell Webber, 18, following the incident. Authorities said they are searching for two other suspects.

The Cahokia Police Department said the suspects were wanted for an alleged robbery in Cahokia, but would not give further details. Cahokia Police said the robbery took place weeks ago. 

The investigation is ongoing.
