UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. (KMOV.com) -

A University City man is accused of stealing a credit card from the woman who hired him to mow her home’s lawn.

Angelo Marconi, 25, is charged with felony theft and fraud. Marconi admitted stealing his neighbor’s credit card while he was mowing her lawn on October 15, police said. Marconi often would do yard work for neighbors, several nearby residents told News 4.

Authorities said he then charged $1300 in items at two Walgreens locations and a Wal Mart, before selling those items to buy heroin.

Many neighbors know Marconi by his rap name, Los. He was scheduled to perform at Cicero’s in the Loop Thursday night.

Marconi received a probation sentence for stealing in 2009.  A condemned notice was placed on the home he shares with his elderly father Thursday, but it is unclear why the home was condemned.
