A portion of a building tumbled to the ground in north St. Louis late Wednesday night.
Just before midnight, the partial building collapse occurred in the 3300 block of North Ninth Street.
The St. Louis Fire Department originally responded to call for persons trapped in the building, but it was later discovered the building was vacant.
A St. Louis building inspector was called to the scene to investigate the possible causes of the collapse.
