ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Prosecutors in St. Louis have charged a woman in connection to several sporting goods store thefts that resulted in an over $5,000 worth of product being stolen.

According to police, on October 15, 21-year-old Cherrish Morris, along with another suspect, stole $2,315 worth of Nike Dryfit clothing from the Hibbitt Sporting Goods Store in South County Mall.

The two suspects grabbed the merchandise and ran out of the store.

On October 21, police believe the same couple entered a Dicks Sporting Goods store located at 590 South County Center Way and stole armfuls of North Face jackets totaling $2,970.

While exiting the store, the male suspect ran into an 87-year-old nun, causing her to fall into the stores security system.

Police believe the suspects may have committed another theft on October 23 from the Pink store in South County Mall, stealing over $3,000 worth of merchandise.

Morris has been charged with four counts of felony stealing and is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond.

A CrimeStoppers anonymous tip helped detectives during the investigation, police say.
