ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Charges are not likely in a case involving what appeared to be a kidnapping in north St. Louis County, police said.

Police say Dyland Rosa, a 1-year-old boy, and 23-year-old Diana Berrios-Pimentel were reportedly taken by two Hispanic men from an address in the 10000 block of Cloverdale Drive, near the intersection of Chambers and Halls Ferry Road, around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

St. Louis County Police say there was a domestic situation in Texas last month, which resulted in Berrios-Pimentel and Rosa moving in with their cousin in St. Louis. That cousin, while at work Thursday, received a text message from Diana who stated that an unknown vehicle occupied by two Hispanic males was continuously circling the area near Cloverdale. A short time later, the cousin received a text message from Diana’s phone stating that Diana and the child were safe, however they would not be released until certain demands were met. Police said they do not know what those demands were.

Rosa and Berrios-Pimental were found safe at a truck stop southeast of Nashville in Antioch, TN. Rosa told detectives that the texts were a ruse to leave town without family intervention, police said. Two suspects, later determined to be family acquaintances, were arrested after police found the car, but police believe charges are not likely to be filed because Berrios-Pimentel didn't file a police report.
