Surveillance captures woman allegedly using stolen ID to cash check in Florissant

Posted: Updated:

FLORISSANT, Mo. (KMOV.com) - Surveillance cameras were rolling when a woman used a stolen identification to cash a check in Florissant, police said.

Authorities said the woman walked into a bank on Monday and cashed a check for $9,000. Police believe the woman may have done the same thing at other local banks.

“Somehow or another she keeps getting away with it and we need to put a stop to it as soon as we can so there's no more victims out there,” said Public Information Officer Craig Dehart.

After News 4’s Rob Sneed noticed a resemblance to the woman who police believe stole purses, he contacted police and helped them connect the dots.

“We believe that she's responsible for crimes in Illinois Wisconsin and Michigan as well,” said Dehart.

Ladue police believe the woman has stolen more than $200,000 combined from all her victims.

If you have any information on her whereabouts, please call police.
