Woman in custody following South County bank robbery, police chase

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Charges were filed against a 53-year-old woman accused of robbing a U.S. Bank in south St. Louis County and leading police on a brief chase Wednesday morning.

Tracy Neisz allegedly entered the bank located at South County Center Way at around 9:45 a.m. and passed a teller a note demanding $4,000. Neisz did not show a weapon during the robbery, police said.

After taking off with an undisclosed amount of money, police said she led officers on a chase into St. Louis.

The city's police department continued the pursuit, but lost track of the car near Highway 70 and Grand.

On Thursday, St. Louis County police said officers found Neisz and detained her.

According to the probable cause statement, Neisz confessed the crimes. She is being charged with one count of second-degree robbery and one count of resisting arrest by fleeing. She is currently being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
