ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A suspect is in custody following an early morning robbery in west St. Louis. 

Around 1:08 Tuesday morning, police officers responded to a burglary alarm in the 5800 block of Delmar Boulevard at STL Grilzz, near DeBealiviere Avenue.

When police arrived at the business, they spotted a suspect dressed in all black, wearing a book bag and carrying a flat-screen television. The suspect took off running but was later caught by police.

The suspect discarded assorted jewelry while he was running, police said.

Authorities have not released the 22-year-old’s identity.

An investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
