ST. LOUIS, Mo -- KMOV promotes three St. Louis area natives to the anchor desk.
Webster Groves native, Claire Kellett is returning to the anchor desk for News 4 at Noon, 4pm and 5pm. Kellett started her career at KMOV on Great Day St. Louis as a reporter, but was quickly promoted to morning anchor on News 4 This Morning. During her time on News 4 This Morning, the newscast saw a strong resurgence in viewership. Last year, she returned to Great Day St. Louis as a host and now is excited to return to the anchor desk.
Alissa Reitmeier, who grew up in Weldon Spring will anchor News 4 at 6 and 10pm, alongside another St. Louis Native, veteran anchor Steve Savard. Reitmeier began her career at KMOV as the News 4 This Morning Traffic Reporter before moving to the anchor desk for News 4 at Noon, and has proven herself to be a strong news journalist viewers can count on.
News Director Brian Thouvenot said, “With the addition of Claire Kellett at Noon, 4pm and 5pm and Alissa Reitmeier at 6 and 10pm, we are stronger than ever.”
KMOV also announced Cory Stark as the anchor for News 4’s weekend evening newscasts. After growing up in Chesterfield, Stark first returned to his hometown as an evening news reporter for KMOV. Along with his anchoring duties, he will also report from the field weekday evenings.
Courtney Bryant will join Stark at the anchor desk on Sunday nights. Bryant comes to KMOV from a station in Bakerfield, CA. Bryant will be reporting in the community weekday evenings.
General Manager Mike Murphy stated, “I’m excited about the new team we have in place. Each anchor brings enthusiasm and a strong work ethic to the table.”
