ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Starting Tuesday evening drivers can expect construction delays along I-270 near I-70 and St. Charles Rock Road, according to MoDOT.

The construction will cause lanes of I-270 to be narrowed during the day and up to two lanes closed at night.

Beginning September 25, crews will begin bridge maintenance on I-270 over St. Charles Rock Road. Work during the first week of construction will require nighttime closures on St. Charles Rock Road under I-270.

All lanes will be closed on the road in one direction from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night. According to MoDOT residents can expect noise throughout the night while crews are working.

On September 30, road crews will start bridge maintenance of southbound I-270 at I-70. This project will block access to southbound I-270. The ramp will remained closed for a month.

Motorists are advised to use westbound I-70 around the closure.
